March 1, 2010--We unexpectedly received an email this week! I felt really bad because every week I've been emailing Grady on Sunday night, just in case he happened to find a place to email. This week I didn't because I figured there was no way he would be able to email--but he did. Oh well, I guess he was able to read all the old emails!! We received TWO letters this week!! Such a bonus!
Osu Hey kazoku. Genki desu ka? O sashiburi. Hey family it has been quite a while since you have heard from me. I am still in Maizuru but I am in a different area today that has email. So sorry I still won't have email for a while. This is a special thing and it feels weird to type on a computer again. I have a new companion named Elder Thayer. He is from Texas but has lived all over the place. He lived in Germany for 4 years! Pretty sweet. He is on his 5th transfer and I am on my 6th. He is good at Japanese and I learn a lot. It was really weird speaking in English again. I like Japanese better. I think I am improving but I want to be better at communicating with the people. O and recently the church got a new email service for the missionaries. It is google mail now and it is a lot better. This is my new address for when we can email again. Maizuru is still as sweet as usual. This week I went to a place called Miyazu again. It is the 3rd prettiest place in Japan. Ill send pictures. This is where brother Kizaki lives. (the less active who is 70) We visited again and he took us to a look out place. He doesn't remember the missionaries names that baptised him. Sorry. These last two weeks have been great. Leo, the 17 year old Filipino is doing pretty well. This Saturday we are going with him to Osaka with some members to a Janice Kapp Perry concert. Pretty wild huh! Leos mom doesn't want Leo to get baptized but I am optimistic. I know anything can happen with the Lords help. Yesterday me and Elder Thayer were housing and a way nice older man let us in. We talked about the gospel together and then his wife came home. They are both way nice and we set up a return appointment for later this week. While I have been in maizuru miracles like this happen everyday. I know that it might sound like something normal but to me these are little miracles. I feel super blessed to receive these everyday. There are a lot of prepared people all over the world. It is kinda crazy to think about but they probably are the friends that we would have never thought would except the gospel. I know this because I see it everyday here in Japan. This morning as I was studying I was reading over one Of Elder Eyring's talks in the most recent conference. It talked about how some people can lose the belief of God for many reasons but one is because they think that God doesn't love them. As I was reading this I felt Gods love through the spirit way strong. I know that God loves me. If I don't feel the spirit at least once a day something is wrong. I cant count how many times on my mission that I have felt specifically Gods love. God helps me everyday and I cant explain exactly how but he does. I love these people and you guys. I know you guys are a million miles away but thanks. I have found another family for two years I guess. They are very special to me and I desire their salvation a lot. Thanks again and Hope to hear from you soon!
